In Part 4, this Alaska black bear hunt gets even more exciting as we continue some unexpected encounters. Earlier on this day Mike Spitzer shot a very large boar. Given the terrible conditions, Randy convinced the crew to stay in camp and roast a few brats for dinner.
The idea was to turn in early so to be rested for another day of miserable rain and wind. Before going to his tent, Randy does an inventory of filtered water remaining in camp. Given how little remains and the fact Randy is the only person still in waders, he offers to hike over to where the water filter is hanging and bring back 10 liters of fresh filtered water.
That was the plan. A plan interrupted by a big black bear staking claim to the creek where the water filtration gear was hanging. A quick jog back to camp and Randy is grabbing his rifle and trying to tell Mike and Marcus what is unfolding.
Sometimes it is better to be lucky than good. Today was one of those days.
